To add a credit card in the HOMEE app:
Open the HOMEE app.
Tap the Menu.
Select your profile.
Tap Add Credit Card.
Enter your credit card information or scan your card.
To add a credit card in Workshop:
From Workshop, click your profile picture in the top right.
Click + under payment options.
Enter your credit card information.
Click Save Card.
Need to replace the credit card information you uploaded? No problem. Select the card you added, then click Replace. Enter the new credit card information following the same process as above.
Why do you need my credit card information?
Even if you are using our service through a HOMEE partner (like Liberty Mutual or Nationwide), we still need a credit card on file to cover your deductible and services outside of your policy.
For example, if you want to have one of our Pros hang your new tv, something not covered by your insurance, you could request the service in the HOMEE app, and having your credit card information on file covers the cost of performing those services. However, when you need to file a claim for something covered by your insurance in the HOMEE app, the credit card on file covers your deductible.
You will never be charged for anything outside of the service you request, and your credit card information is safely encrypted. HOMEE uses Stripe to process all of our payments. Learn more about how Stripe protects your information here.
